One of the funnier moments at Rock ‘n Bowl was when someone in the industry “busted” MSwift about his company’s golf outing and closet to the pin win earlier this year.    Little did he know that he will have to “switch teams” next year to keep it quiet.    The magazine article and photo was a shock.  

The RI Hog Island Lighthouse in Mt. Hope Bay went for 165K.    The SD couple bid and won the lighthouse that was built in 1901 and now must work out a lease for the land below.

Voter fallout:  The people here are so dumb they rejected the Fort Adams Amendment because (polls show) most RI’ers believed the grant money was going to support the war on terrorism.   After the election, the ProJo has revealed 5K dead voters were eligible last Tuesday to participate.   I’m surprised it’s only that many.   Bristol clocked in with 261, Barrington 62 and Warren 40.  

An incredible turn of events as Britney has dumped KFed.   He was just rapping about how good their marriage had worked out and suddenly this happens.    Just as stunning, I had FHill all the way and can’t believe the way she acted after not wining at the CMA.   But it’s not all bad.   At least we have the last episode of Lost before a 6 month hiatus and  Dancing With The Stars is bringing it home with the final three of Joey Lawrence, Emmitt Smith and Mario Lopez.     But seriously…

RI’ers stood up for what was right and soundly defeated the Harrah’s Casino and provided some sort of balance as Gov. Carcieri held on by the slimmest of margins.   Although disappointed about the Chaffee loss (20/20 hindsight he should have changed to Independent like Liberman) the Dems have full control but no direction.    

Crossing my fingers the moderate Dems that were elected won’t stand for the Pelosi extreme left wing agenda.    Did Liberalism win or Conservatism lose?   Great move by Reps to get Rumsfeld out with the country’s desire for a change of direction.   Still possible: Imagine a 50-50 Senate where Don Cheney is the tie-breaker.  

After the Casino, I was shocked to see our voters agree to raise taxes for every Amendment that was up for approval.    Transportaion Bonds and the Zoo were easy to approve.   But voting rights for criminals, raising taxes 1.5% for a taxpayer savings account and 50M for housing just amazed me.    

By the numbers:  397K voters in RI.   Bristol: 8500 voters,  Barrington: 8200 and lastly Warren with 4000.  

If tonight isn’t the ultimate date night for all bloggers they will never get outside to smell the fresh air.   I’m not dumb enough to think that any blog opinion is going to change any vote but you got to love how important the bloggers think they are.   Ned (the Red) LaMont is going down and many other contests are extremely close.    Tonight and tomorrow should be fun for political junkies.  

Harrah’s has allocated 2M dollars for today and rented EVERY mini-van in the state to take the greased palms of their supporters to the polls.   It’s going to be real close and I’ll never understand taxpayers who will take it hard and stick it to themselves to prove a point about corruption.    

The man who was born to be our Senate representative has nearly blown his double-digit lead over the last two weeks and desperately brought in Bubba last night to rally the troops.   Confused anti-war voices attack Chaffee (who voted against the war) while saying the gutless punk Schumer (NY), who voted for the war, is the voice of reason.  

I fear a Senate headed by the absolutely insane Pelosi (CA) and anyone who has seen her should run for their hard hats and dig those bunkers.    The only saving grace will be after two years of her b.s. the country will be sick of insane women with power and will not vote for HClinton.    The only chance she has in ‘08 is if the Senate stays as is.  

Don’t vote if you don’t know the issues.  
Liberalism is a mental disorder.
